Brief Info

Pine is a precious species of plant growing on hill, in valleys and by waterfall. Although pine trees grow mainly in cold countries, Viet Nam is fortunate enough to have them in several regions where terrain and climate make them suitable for the cultivation. Among over 100 spieces of pines Vietnam has three main ones including three leaves, twin leaves and horse tail that bring about economic values in terms of wood and resin.

Our gum rosin and turpentine oil are two main products processed from pine resin harvested from three-leaves and twin-leaves pine trees. Our products are manufactured under advanced technology and equipment of Japan, meet the international quality standard and have been exported to Japan, Korea, India, Germany and Australia.

The annual harvest of Vietnam's pine resin is from May to December.

Gum Rosin

Gum rosin (Calocedrus macrolepis) is formally called colophane, is a solid form of resin obtained from pines produced by heating fresh liquid resin to vaporise the volatile liquid terpene components. Its color varies from bright yellow to dark yellow. At room temperature it is brittle, but it dissolves in many organic solvents at stove-top temperatures. It chiefly consists of different resin acids including axit pimaric, levopimaric, especially abietic. It is an importan material widely used in various industries including paper sizing, printing ink, varnishes, adhesives, medicine, soap, chewing gum, constructions, ect.

Turpentine Oil

Turpentine oil obtained from steam-distillation of pine is a transparent white liquid with a particular smell, no dreg and water. As a mixture of acbua hydro monotecpen (C10H16) and a small content of sesquitecpen and tecpen's derivatives it is naturally deodorizing, and antibacterial.
